Re-elect Peter Hidalgo for Mt. San Antonio College Trustee in 2024!
First elected as a Trustee in 2020 where nearly 8 in 10 voters supported his passion as an advocate for accessible education. Peter tirelessly worked to enhance the community college experience for the 70,000 students at Mt. SAC.
As a Trustee, Peter helped champion programs fostering student growth, and as a result, Mt. SAC is one of a handful of the 116 community colleges in the state that has fully restored its student enrollment due to the pandemic.
This year, Mt. SAC was ranked #1 in the state for providing a top-tier education and extensive student services while keeping classes at just $46 a unit. Today, Mt. SAC is the largest single campus community college in California.
As a regional community leader, Peter sits on several Boards including serving as Board President of Pomona-based Just Us 4 Youth, the
Los Angeles County Fair Governing Board (Fairplex) which includes The Learning Centers at Fairplex and the Governing Board of LA's BEST, which supports LA Unified schools afterschool programs for 25,000 students.
Ecuadorian by birth, Peter attended Citrus Community College, where his experience as a student leader set the course for his professional life in public affairs. He later earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Azusa Pacific University in Organizational Leadership.
